I have a 94 suzuki sidekick 4 dr 2wd 16v that just hates it when its hot outside. Im not sure how to explain this, but ill try, sluggish take off, sometimes the engine just seems like it is not getting any gas, it will be "laggy" and "jerky" just not smooth at all and feels like its going to just die any minute. I have talked to auto parts store clerks and some mechanics who all have different answers, ive hear "fuel filter, fuel pump, exhaust, catalytic convertor, and sensors" im not sure what to try first, im limited on funds and i cannot afford to fix everything, also im not 100% car savvy. I have replaced minor things like brakes and alternators but never anything major. Any responce to this would be a great help. Im kinda all alone on this one so far. Thanks.

Hey ! I got the same trouble , but it does it cold and hot. Try changing your fuel filter (about 4$ ) don't take an original one , or jober , they are too expensive. The one i get is an ''High flow'' all plastic made , you can see the gaz in it , and really easy to instal. Look at your fire wire (not expensive too) by spreading with a spray bottle some water on it, dont keep you hand on the body while doing this , you may not like me. If you see some spark, they are dead. I adjusted my fire timing. It's simple but you need an Tork and a ratchet. The tork bolt is over the CAP distributor. Mark by doing a scratch from the bolt to the eletric plug. Then start your truck, loose the bolt and turn it till you have a good engine running sound (you will hear your truck running from very bad to bad and better , and bad till you have the sweet spot). I cleaned my air system too , no money inveted , but it's a good idea to do it sometime.
ATM my truck still miss some heart , i'm looking to adjust the lill soleinoid on the air intake , and there is a screw on the top i wanna know if it's an adjustment too. Thx wishing for an fast reply , it's rainy here by these day and mud is calling on my heart.
