Hello guys! My name is Brent and I'm from Forest Grove, Oregon. I just bought a '98 Sidekick 4x4 4dr JX Sport. I'm enjoying it throughly. I used to have a mid '90's 4x4 4dr Tracker with a G16 8valve SOHC and it was a ton of fun. I am enjoying this new Sidekick even more thanks to a good increase in power from the J18 DOHC 16valve motor this one has. Spec says my old rig wasn't even 90 hp while this thing is supposed to deliver 120hp. It does feel quicker 
I'm also enjoying the power stuff, airbags and key-less entry my Tracker didn't have! It has 90k and purrs like a kitten. I had a '95 YJ Wrangler with a 2.5l and I don't like how poorly it drives everywhere but off road. These things drive great on road, in comparison, and get a crap load better fuel mileage than the Wrangler's do! I think it looks better too and is more comfortable.
I'm an experienced auto technician, I spent some time in the Air Force working on airplanes, did some other stuff and now I work at Intel making motherboard chip-sets I'm really enjoying living in Oregon (I moved from Michigan) and am pleased with the seemingly limitless camping/off-roading possibilities. That about sums it up.
