Hey Skiark,
Never heard about Durabak, but interesting idea. A guy in Quebec City was selling his Sidekick for less than $1000 a month ago, covered it with "Chip Guard", whatever he actually used I'm not sure. Didn't go and see it, that's 5 hrs away from me.
I've often thought about that, let us know if you ever attempt it!

It's probably going to happen. I'll let you know how it goes. Think it will be perfect for off-roading. Just hose it down when done. Will not have to worry about rust and scratches. You can find Durabak site by searching for it on Web. They have some cool pictures of rigs that have been painted with it.

Have thought about it, especially after the rear seat came out from completely rusted thru hold-down bolts. But the cost of Duraback is steep. Last price I saw was $129.00/gal (U,S. $). But some reviews say it is worth it from the corrosion control point of view. Anybody tried it so far ?

Had a Buddy who covered his entire truck with "Rhino liner", witch is similar stuff; loved it to death. Did'nt actually look too bad either, if you're into that flat black look.
