Hey Lucy, everybody! Thanks for keeping everything going. Haven't been up to much other than having another boy! 9 lbs. 8 oz.. That makes 3 boys now. I'll have to get a 'kick again to take them all out into the bush to go camping/fishing.

thanks and good to be back! i like the grand v, rides and drives a lot different than the old one, my 94 is used by my brother, he needs it for work, and he needs to get into walkways/pathways and the size of the old one is awesome, 4X4 etc is great! i have a leak between the transfer case and tranny on my new one, so off to the dealer it will be, im dissappointed in that, i leased it last june and has under 4,000 km on it, other then that, i really like the abs feature, traction control is okay, the ESP (electronic stability program) i think is overrated, no matter what safety gizmos you put in an SUV, the basic laws of physics do not change, higher center of gravity = increased chance of rollover, therefore drive slower or drive something else like a subaru. The new grand v is also a unibody frame with a ladder type frame incorporated into it, it is full-time 4wd and i have the option of locking the center differential, it also has a low-range. One note, to change the waterpump on the grand v is insane, book time is 9.5 hours, thats it in a nut shell, 94box.

Good Day all, I am new to this website. Looking for a Sidekick, Tracker, Sunrunner in the early 90's. Most I have seen do not have power steering which I want. Does anyone know if I could transplant power steering from a later model into an 89-90 Sidekick?
Thanks. Garth, Westbank, B.C.

Welcome Garth:
in my opinion i don't really think you need p/s in these models, try driving one with and one without p/s, im not sure if you can transfer. these models are fairly reliable, i drive a 94 sidekick 4dr as well as an 06 grand vitara, i really like my 94, if you decide to purchase one, have it looked over by a mechanic, making sure all the driveline fluids are in good condition, also the timing belt is good to replace along with the water pump. i recommend that you drive a two door and a four door since both ride very differently,
thats my two cents worth, welcome and good luck,
94box.

Hi everyone, Man, it's been quite a while since I last dropped by. Sold my 'kick, but still fix three trucks from neigbours... To add to 94box comments, also get the mechanic to look really closely at the rust. Untreated Kicks get to desintegrate rapidly. Cheers folks! Lou
