I have a 89 sidekick that I picked up 2 months ago. was running good til 2 nights ago, it started stumbling when I went to leave from a dead stop. So I have replaced the fuel filter on the rear frame rail, and had the same issues, I took advantage of the moment and replaced the dist cap and rotor as well. Same issue, every once in while it will just stall out at a dead stop. When cold it will fire right up and run the normal high idle til warmed up , average 3 to 5 minutes. I have checked all of the vacuum lines and all are connected and not cracked. I have sprayed brake cleaned on all of the areas dealing with air intake for leaks and all areas are good and tight. Car is in running in time, and has not jumped time. it seems that once i get the car over 2500 rpm's that it will run fine for my 7 minute drive home... So I am puzzled and need some help please.. Thank you Dennis
Amended -------So I just drove or lugged it home. I could barley get it to move at a dead stop.once moving it was bucking in first , second and third gear. I think my peak speed was 35 miles a hour with the peddle floored. And every time I stopped it would idle fine, the exhaust smells like it is running rich, but other then that I AM AT A LOSS FOR WORDS
