does anybody know the spec(sizes) on spacers for a body lift, all I want to do is a 1 inch body lift on 1993 sidekick vitara 4 door, so i want to make up the spacers for it, is aluminium or nylon ok, I know that 1 inch is not much, but here in Sydney you need a engneers certificate for a body lift, so with only a 1 inch lift I'm hoping they won't even notice.

there are products around, but if your like me, you like doing stuff yourself. I bought some cylinder rubber spacers, almost identical to the originals (about 2cm thick almost what your looking for) you loosen steering column then one side then loosen and lift the other then just slip these in on top of the originals then bolt it back again making shore you do it right. if your lucky no one will tell the difference. i wouldn't use aluminum or nylon these tend to break and you don't wont that . that why steel advised.

where did you get the cylinder rubber spacers 2cm thick, of what car. The body studs are not long enough to do a 1" body lift. Best way is to buy a 2" kit from RRO or Sky. Nobody makes a 1" kit, it hardly seems worth the effort. I'm making my own 3" based on this, I just got all the metal cut this weekend... www.zuwharrie.com/content/view/11/27/
