I just bought an 89 sidekick. I have all stock everything. It is the jx and has a brand new 16v rebuilt motor with plenty of power and I can easily do 75mph on freeway ect.
I took it out last weekend to the desert. Wow what fun! I could go up any hill I tried and never even bothered with 4x4low. I stayed in 4high. Here is my question now.
I am not looking for a lift or serious ground clearance or any typical lifts of the sort. I am rather in the desire of having my suspension set up like a prerunner truck. I would rather have a large amount of travel and soft ride than stiff rough crawler style suspension. Can any of you tell me what I might do to make this happen, or links to send me to?
Why, I bought this as my chase car for my wife and the littlest ones who can not ride yet. They follow me and my other two kids as we ride on long trails on our atvs. When the woops come up or that type of terrain she has to slow down to around 5 to 10mph. I was able to navigate thru them faster by taking the right lineup but would still like to just cruise thru them like a rhino ect. let me know if you all can help.
