I drove through some water recently and was wondering how likely it is that water could get in to the diferentials, transmission and transfer case.
It wasn't a lot of water. Really just a big mud puddle. I went through it several times, but it was no more than when it rains and you come upon high water in the street.
Just wondering~
Thanks!

Hi there, don't know about over there, but here in Oz the diffs have breather tubes fitted, the vents on the trans & t/case are high up, unless you had water in the door seals I wouldn't worry too much! If the diffs were very hot, the water very cold you might have an issue, remove the level inspection plug after a drive to get the diff/s warm[only in 4wd off road] and stick your finger in the oil, if its milky then change it when warm. HTH Cheer Scott.
