Following a long procedure in finding a fix for an idle problem I have possibly zero'ed in on the problem...the problem started with a high idle at engine start (1500-2000rpm) followed by a surge after reaching operating temp with the rpm 1200-2000 surge...after cleaning the EGR Valve and ISC the end result was the same...I removed the plate from the IAC and plugged the orfice into the tbi...when restarting the engine the idle rpm dropped to 300...I set the idle screw and reset the rpm to 1000rpm...with engine at operating temp the surging stopped...my question, what is the fix to the IAC problem ? note: my Sidekick is Calif Emissions Thanks for a great forum...John
