1997 3sp w/od - when going from 2H to 4H truck dies; truck will start in 4H and Neutral (between 4L & 4H) on transfer case; truck will crank but not start in 4H or 4L; crawled under truck and found no loose wires. truck runs fine in 2H and will also run when transfer case in neutral. any hepl on this issue would be greatly appreciated.

ok truck is shifting and running in and out of 4h, 4l and 2h with no problems until gets to normal running temp. I was able to shift with OD both on and off and with the Power switch on and off as well, different combinations of power switch and OD between 4h 4l and 2h. It was not until about 10 - 15 minutes that the truck would not want to run in either 4h or 4l. ECM? I have no idea. Any body want to tackle this one or suggestions?

mabe check the swtches on the transfer case- mabe unplug & check function? can't see why they would be in start circuit.......
