Hello
I have had my 92 Sidekick for 15 years but for several months now I have had a mysterious problem. Often blown fuses (most often for the signal lights) but then some (different) lights are sometimes lit without being turn on and what is more mysterious is that this can also happen with the ignition key turned off. There must be some place in the electrical system where these unwanted connections take place but where? Who could give me advice? Vigfus in East-Iceland (Egilsstadir)

Check your head light / turn signal switch for short. The headlights will have power with ignition off and if it is shorting when you activate the turn signals then that's a good place to start. I would check the wiring going up the column to the switch. More than likely the switch is shorting internally and will need to be replaced.
