Thank you G-man, Lou, Rock Junkie 94 box, sapien and several others whose handles I can't remember.
my access to the web has been limited and I have not been here to report on any of my projects. for those couple months that I was with out your advice and missed voice msgs (jeff)... I got in the books, reread all the articles I'd copied from the web. ch2 in the hanes is filthy! trying to reread and comprehend the technical jargon. the only thing that really kicked my but is how our timing is backwards #1,#1 but #4 for the cap!!! I took the valve cover off and traced out all the cam lobes. if these things could run 180 out, I'd sware mine was, I thought it would be smoother and quieter.
90MT is out of the card board box and rolling, I'll be getting a cheesy redneck body lift sometime in the next couple weeks from a guy who traded me for some 33" tires. Now that it finally runs I'll be working bugs out of it and trying to keep gas in the tank. I finally put the top back on for hurricane dennis.
The 90 AT still runs the back power line trails, and I've cut the top off of it and trimmed more sheet metal. for stroking on only 2 cylinders (bad compression, prob valves) it does a fine job. plowing over some fallen logs, I lost the muffler from the cat back. It also has a driver CV joint going bad. sounds like an excuse to go with a solid front axle. $$we had a rough looking "roll cage" pieced together but never installed. After the mud rally down at custom differentials I've only had it out a few times, mostly because the tires are miss matched. bald 235 in front and 32 in back. $$ the miss match causes it to fish tail a little bit on soupy mud trails
the kik is still covered in red clay!
I found a rolling 4x4 chassis for the 95 2wd but until I get more money rolling in, that engine will stay on the bench, it needs parts that "I should rob off of the 90 AT" in the name of being mature and getting another kik on the road and out of the garage.
On this forum, I've talked about robbng all the parts from the 90AT to get the 95MT running and getting a big 4.3 for the 90AT mud buggy. $$$$ has anyone ever shopped at advanced adapters? to know more about a mod like that?
