Hi- This isn't a hardcore wheelin story just a normal guy new to four wheeling going off road and keeping the truck intact to wheel another day. I've had a 2dr. 90 tracker for about 8 mo. now and it's an amazing little machine. Today I took it through some rolling fields with snow between 8" and 16" deep. I had very few problems getting around. It was amazing how much more power it takes to move the vehicle in the heavy wet snow. Now I know why they put Low range in the T-case. I had trouble going forward even in first gear after slowing down to take a tight turn at the base of a hill. It wanted to stall untill I put it in 4low. It seemed that a certain wheel speed gave the best traction, slower would bog down and dig in and require a back up and gain momentum to proceed. And too much tire spin lost steering control and actually slowed progress. So as the snow changed I could change gears and throttle position to maximize traction. This all sound really complex, but it was really pretty instincive and a LOT of fun. My brother in law followed me in his 4x4 toyota and couldn't believe how good my tracker did. He got bogged down a lot and I had to wait for him. I always take a lot of crap from my in laws over my little tracker, but today it proved itself to me. Maybe this will help any other newbies out there lock in the T-case and take the road less traveled. Don't wheel alone and dress for the weather in case you have to walk. A tow strap and flashlight are also good ideas. Have fun- mehlen
