Been Driving latly on ATV trails where 'normal' off roads cannot go. too narrow to tight turns, except for the Suzuki sidekick, these things are amazing.

And Sidekicks float better than other SUVs too. At least the rear does. Crossed a washed logging road a few years back, the rear started to float and follow the current... Fun stuff, but glad I didn't end up downstream...

What's fun is seeing the look on the atv riders face, when you go flying by on a trail they thought they could only go. Even better when they're stuck. ;D

because my kick has spent so much time on the atv trails and earned it's respect I have avoided much southern humor. however the big trucks still tail pipe me when they go by the house on their way to the mud; I'm hoping it's a friendly gesture. It should be, we drink the same beer.

Yep!
Back here in the unknown wilderness of Snow Road Station Ontario, we have a trail called "The K & P. It used to be the Kingston to Pembroke Railway from back in the stagecoach days here. It was nicknamed "the Kick and Push" because passengers had to get off the train and help it up the hills by pushing.
I have a video of my ol' 92 floor deep in water on that trail, poking through the ice and around logs that had floated onto the trail.
For us here, the K & P is sometimes used as an every day or Sunday afternoon cruise. Some people back here use it as a main route to civilization. That little Sidekick was out there when no snowmobiles, pickups, cars or quads were out. Just like you say, it floats on the snow just perfectly.
My new used 2002 seems to have the same bloodline, as it proved last night on a rugged little back road mountain route, just a short haul from the house.
I remember heading back in to some forsaken lake, and I asked a local householder for directions. She looked at the pretty, metallic light blue, white rag top car and said, with her "valley" accent "I don't think your little car will go in there". As you know, she was dead wrong. I went and cut fresh tracks in places she wouldn't believe. Mind you, we often carry a chainsaw just because it's so remote out here. You're on your own, except for Suzie and she always gets back home.
"Get out there!"
