I believe it's up behind the dash by the steering column. Take a look behind there.

As far as I know none of the OBD II ones have a reset switch, but I think '95 is OBD I. I would read the codes first though because they may help you diagnose a problem that you may not yet be aware of. To reset OBD II and probably OBD I codes, usually unhooking the battery for a couple of hours will do it. They don't have much backup power, so they will reset if they have no battery power for a while. If you have OBD I in the '95 you can read this codes following the instructions here home.golden.net/%7Ehaida/suzuki/tech/tips/troubleshooting.html

My 95 2-dr Tracker's Check Engine light came on at 100,000.1 miles. I know there is no problem because I just did a complete tune-up and it is running excellent, so I am assuming (I know, I know) it is the programmed-to-come-on deal talked about aroud here.
Anyway, I removed the driver's speaker cover and the speaker, and found a slide switch in the upper right corner of the speaker hole. I slid the switch to opposite what it was, no more light. The only problem here is, of course, if there really is something wrong, plus in those areas that require emissions inspections, I imagine that is going to be caught.
At some point I will try rileysowner's suggestion of turning the switch back on, disconnecting the battery for an afternoon, then re-connect it and see if the light comes back on. If it does, then maybe there is something really wrong.

Scootertoo: Maybe your switch thing shut of the circuitry long enough to have solved the issue. If you reverse that switch, and the light stays off, maybe we've learned something. If the light's on, maybe it's talkin' to you. We'd like to know.

Also, this site suggests that the light comes on just as a reminder for something like your transmission fluid needs a complete change. Did you do that at 160 or 166 thou? From this site, I knew my light was going to come on at 160 and it did. Gonna do the transmission oil and filter change.

Perth,
Funny you would mention the tranny fluid....I just had the transmission, transfer case, and both axle fluids changed at about 99,900 miles, along with the oil and filter. I am suspecting it is a reminder light, and it may need to be reset. I haven't had a chance to flip it back on yet, but that's a good thought to try that first and see what happens. If the light is back on, then I'll do the battery trick. If it's still on, then I'll have to bite the bullet and see what's wrong.
I'll keep you posted!

That damn little switch has been a continuing problem for my sidekick. When i first bought the car, the CEL was on, and i eventually replaced the O2 sensor, which got it to go out. A few hundred miles later, the light came back on, and only sliding the switch the opposite way it was shut it off. A few hundred later it was back on again, so i slid the switch the other way, and it went off. It stayed off for a good long time, until the car sat for a while. It came back on, and i did a tune up (new plugs, wires, cap, rotor) and it went out for about 24 hrs, now its back on. I was gunna take it to a shop to have them scan for codes, but damn it, on of these days im guna figure out which plug it is you have to use to make the CEL blink out teh codes. There are 2 very similar plugs in the location described in the guides for pulling your own codes, and ive never gotten a straight answer on which one to use. jim

So i just pulled my codes, and i got a 15 and a 51 (which is confusing back to back) I took the plug off the coolant sensor and puts some penetrating oil to it, even tho the contacts looked clean still. Im thinking now i need to check the connections to the egr solenoid, and maybe test the impedence
