I've been reading posted msgs in here for a week or so. I didn't know that this introduction page existed.
I was hanging out at the "yard" where we park big trucks and this country boy we call slimmy told me that if I needed a car, he had just the right car for me. it needed a little work, but if he could pry it from his girlfriends hands, it would get me around. and it's a 4x4. and it comes with a parts car for a little extra.
I opened the hood and saw how easy and straight forward everything in there was, all the tune up stuff was easy to get to. I sat in the seat, and played with the convertible top, and played with the stereo that wasn't coming with the car. I adjusted the mirrors and the seat, and I said, "sold"
After actually paying for the durn thing and buying many bud light 12 packs, I actually got to drive one home the 91 blue 4x mt soft top. and it needed work!!
several months later, I came down and towed the 94 red 2w at soft top to it's resting place.
he was raping parts off of this nice looking, no rust, minor dents red 2wd and he say's it's got a good engine to put in the 91
I've posted several questions about the 91, so I'll continue.
I don't know a stranger, it's the gemini in me maybe. I'll walk up to anyone with a 4x4 and ask them about trails and zukes. that's how I landed my 91 blue at soft top. I also drove it home, and messed it up somehow. except the automatic trans, it's identical to the 91 blue mt soft.
I know I can fix these durn things!!! I'd like to use the 91 automatic to put the other 2 together, having a 91 blue 4x and a 94 red 4x or 2w. I was a mechanic in the navy, and I know I can get these things to work. but I'll definitely need some advice.
I'm between jobs for a few weeks, getting out of the big truck, so I'm available for travel, but I also have a budget.
