Please post technical stuff in the technical forum. And this problem as been seen quit often, so if you use the search button or look a bit in the tech. forum youll find all the info you need. Its very often related to relays or the wires that pass inside the rear fenderwell. Check it out. And Welcome aboard!!

The same thing happened to me recently. Its probably just a bad wire, that was my problem. The mechanic told me it was the pump but it turned out to be just a wire.

Did you hot wire the fuel pump to come to this conclusion. Thats the only way you could know " no power to fuel pump put new pump in and still no power" ; because testing the power in wire may give misleading results. Its set up to stop at pressure build up (which it could have done...hardly noticable) and or even time out when the lines are loose. The wire would NOT be powered most of the time unless your engine was running and actually consuming fuel... If you did hot wire the fuel pump. And successfully made the pump run; then I would continue to do that at a joint in the wiring harness and again at the fuel pump relay. (to rule out those sections of wiring.) The first joint is behind the driver's side tail lamp.... I'd help you with which wire, but will have to look tomorrow at my extra harness (think its the big red one.)
More if you need it.
