Hi, Guys.
I'm a new comer here. Recently my 1998 sidekick sport JX (manual tranny, 1.8L engine) reached 60000 miles. So I'm trying to take care of some maintenance work all by myself. I noticed that the ower's manual I have is for 1998 sidekick/x90 instead of sidekick sport. I thought the original dealer gave me the wrong manual. Then I got on the website of suzuki america and found out that even on its own official website, suzuki provides the same owner's manual for sidekick and sidekick sport. I feel really puzzled about this because these two models aren't exactly the same. for example the capapcity for the fuel tank listed in my manual is 14.5 gallons while that for sidekick sport 98 should be 18.5 gallons according to various sources, chilton's repair manual included. then I don't know how much I can trust this manual I have. or in other words, are the specs of sidekick and sidekick sport almost identical so that I can still check out the one I have? what is the difference between these two models?
I have more sophisticated questions about my car. but I'll save them until a bit later. I hope I can get some helpful tips from all the nice people here. thanks in advance.

Pleasure to make your acquaintance!
There are some differences, but on the technical side things are similar.
The one difference I had to deal with at some point was a difference in brake rotor dimension. Seems many parts are not interchangeable. But the "theory" behind the truck remains (same type of systems, technology etc).
Cheers!
